Category:Video games set in Mexico[Role of selenium in the prevention of cardiovascular disease].
Because of their free radical activity, in particular oxygen-derived free radicals, it was proposed in the 1970s that selenium might play a role in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. For example, in experiments with selenium deficient mice (Wistar rats) and rats a 50% reduction of the development of cardiovascular disease was observed. These beneficial effects of selenium cannot be directly explained by its antioxidant properties. This is because selenium seems to play an important role in a regulation of the biochemical processes of the immune system. Accordingly, selenium deficiency is frequently associated with an increased risk for cancer. Furthermore, a study in selenium deficient rats revealed that they developed heart muscle damage associated with a hypertrophic response. This problem with selenium deficient animals, however, can be overcome by a high intake of selenium. This is the situation with the average population in Switzerland. In Switzerland, the average selenium intake is between 70 and 100 micrograms per day and is close to the recommended value of 150 micrograms per day for adults. Thus, selenium deficiency is not an issue for the average population., ultimately, is but a realist critic of them.
I completely agree that the idea of a lay person being able to do a thorough analysis of a film is laughable. But my criticism is that much of what you've said is just an explanation and defense of the "cinema that I love", not the film in question.
As a filmmaker, I'm also in favor of the idea that a film is what it is and no amount of reshaping, editing, etc. should change the fundamental characteristics of a film.
However, if a critic is going to be a sound examiner of a film then it's fair to ask a lot of questions about that film.
